A training camp on ‘Management of Diabetes’ was organised for nurses and para medical staff in 28th April 2009 to 2nd May .It was conducted by IDRF and Dr.Ramachandrans Diabetes Hospital Chennai under the IDRF-WDF chennai.Two sessions of 3 days each were conducted and more than 100 health workers participated in the training programme.
A workshop cum training camp was conducted for the Diabetes and Life style educators. Classes were led by eminent doctors, dietitians, physiotherapists, yoga masters, psychologists, health and social activists and teachers. Most of the education materials were also designed and developed during the training period.

On the 1st November, Medical trust hospital and diabetes care centre hosted the CME organized by RSSDI (Research Society for the Study of Diabetes in India) Kerala Chapter. About 400 doctors attended the conference in which various topic related to the management of Diabetes and related complication were seriously discussed.
